1939 NGC MS-66 OGH GOLD CAC 38-006 BACK.

Here's a chance to own a 1939 NGC MS-66 (OGH) GOLD CAC Walking Liberty Half Dollar. It is certified by NGC and It has also been awarded the COVETED GOLD CAC STICKER and is housed in an (OLD HOLDER) From NGC! The GOLD CAC Sticker means that CAC denotes that this coin has exceeded CAC's stringent grading standards and that this coin is worthy of atleast 1 full grade higher and would still get a green sticker at that higher grade. This date has a POP 1 for a GOLD CAC sticker in MS-66 Grade which is super rare. They definitely don't give out many GOLD CAC stickers in MS-66 grade on any date let alone this 1939. I have owned and seen a lot of GOLD CACs over the years and I can tell you without a doubt this coin would atleast grade a MS-67+ at today's grading level.

This outstanding Superb gem is silky smooth in texture with light golden toning along with extremely lustrous surfaces. This coin is very nicely struck with exceptionaly sharp detail throughout. Razor sharp skirt lines, Fully struck head and full split thumb and forefinger on the branch hand. Both sides have a cartwheel luster that rolls right off of these pristine surfaces, very little contact can be seen. The eye appeal on this coin is sensational to say the least. This coin is remarkable example of how stirct the grading was in the early years, which is why these OLD HOLDERS are so sought out by collectors, especially ones with GOLD CAC STICKERS!

OLD HOLDER AND GOLD CAC STICKER! ALSO THE BACK STICKER IS IN PERFECT SHAPE ALONG WITH THE HOLDER!

This is one phenomenal gem and I can't understand why it's not in a MS-67 holder. I have seen many horrible MS-67's for this date, and coins like this definitely deserve to be upgraded. I am tempted to send this coin back myself but then it would be months before I got the coin back from CAC, that is if it didn't upgrade. This beautiful gem definitely has it all, not only a sharp strike, especially for an S mint but it also has gorgeous rainbow colors throughout the entire coin.  Razor sharp skirt lines, needle sharp breast feathers, the branch hand is fairly weak which is common but surprisingly liberty's head, is nearly full.
